Job description
Tideway is upgrading London’s infrastructure by building the new Super Sewer; a 25 kilometre tunnel running up to 65 metres below the River Thames. This will ensure London’s sewage system can cope with the demands of the 21st century and beyond. Currently tens of millions of tonnes of untreated sewage overflows into the River Thames every year
and the Super Sewer will help to tackle this problem. Alongside this vital work to clean up the River we are creating three acres of new public spaces for all of London to enjoy. Our ambition is to reconnect London with the River Thames and this role will play a key part in helping us achieve this.

The Role
This position will support the Information Systems Programme Manager to deliver a number of business and Infrastructure projects. This is a 6 months Fixed Term contract.
1. Accountabilities include:
• Delivery – Responsible for defining the project plan, then delivering against it to time, cost and quality.
• Budget – Responsible for defining and gaining agreement to the project budget - and delivering within it. Day-to-day monitoring and reporting.
• Resourcing – Responsible for staffing the project plan, ensuring internal and external dependent resources are secured and committed to plan.
• Assurance – undertake all responsibilities and tasks in accordance with project charter, policies, strategies, processes and procedures.
• Health, safety, security and environment (HSSE) – proactive commitment to achieving zero injuries, zero incidents and zero compromise.
2. Responsibilities include:
• Ensuring that all IS and IT services to be provisioned meet business requirements and conform to the IS policies and principles.
• Maintaining the project, associated project plans and producing weekly status reports.
• Working closely with discipline and functional managers as required to understand project scope.
• Ensuring project team members are aware of their roles and responsibilities.
• Updating risks and issues logs and escalating where applicable.
• Working with third party vendors and sub-contractors for the duration of specific projects.
• Overseeing the procurement of services, systems, software applications and related infrastructure within established supplier framework agreements or tendering guidelines.
• Liaising with the procurement and contracts functions to keep track of purchase/task order status.
• Supporting project change management (business readiness) activities throughout the project life cycle.
• Recognising areas for improvement and communicating them to management as part of the continual improvement process.
3. The ideal candidate will have the following experience and skills:
Experience:
• Demonstrable experience and proven track record in major business enabled transformations in project/programme management roles.
• Demonstrable experience of ERP implementations and full infrastructure implementations.
• Demonstrable experience in managing third party vendors.
Skills and competencies:
• Able to work at senior levels to manage business sponsors, stakeholders and gain alignment on delivery of projects
• Experienced in project, product and system development methods and delivery.
• Able to establish immediate impact and credibility.
• Excellent customer-focus, ensure that service and customer satisfaction levels are maintained.
• Experience of working in a multi-vendor environment.
• 3rd party vendor management skills.
