Maternity Cover - Part Time
Role Overview
We are currently recruiting for Head of Occupational Health and Wellbeing at Tideway. This is a maternity cover role to oversee the Occupational Health, Hygiene and Wellbeing programme on a major infrastructure programme. Reporting to the Director of Business Services
& HSW, the role provides strategic oversight to the programme, ensuring we achieve our ambition of achieving greater parity between health and safety. Please note that this is a part-time role, to be worked across 16 hours a week.
Responsibilities & Requirements
• Support our contractors and internal team with the Health, Hygiene and Wellbeing strategy, works information and achieving best practice.
• Where required, measure the impact of Health and Wellbeing activities, evaluate the outcomes and make recommendations for improvement.
• Contribute/chair the relevant Health and Wellbeing working groups. Promote good practice and capture lessons learnt from the programme and wider industry.
• Prepare and deliver updates to the Senior Leadership Teams, Board members and wider project.
• Undertake contract management of the programme’s Occupational Health Service Provider.
• Be a subject matter expert for Occupational Health, Hygiene and Wellbeing. Key topics include fatigue management, respiratory health, musculoskeletal disorders, mental health and the response to the COVID19 pandemic (this is a non-exhaustive list).
• Support with reporting requirements.
• Maintain good working relationships with all parties on the project including Senior Leaders, Project Managers, Contractors and other HSW professionals, including establishing good working relations with internal and external stakeholders (i.e. Client, enforcing authorities, suppliers, etc.)
• Undertake assurance activities if required.
Experience, Skills and Competencies
• Experience in industrial or Construction sectors in Occupational Health – Essential
• Experience of working with multiple stakeholders and influencing a collaborative approach.
• Leads with limited direction and ability to make decisions and influence others.
• Ability to sensitively liaise with stakeholders and project team members.
• IT Skills – experienced in all MS office products
