Paralegal /Solicitor
The Role
We are currently looking for a law graduate, paralegal or newly qualified lawyer to join the Tideway project.
The Tideway project involves constructing a 25km tunnel under London’s river that will prevent the tens of millions of tonnes of pollution that currently pollute the River Thames each year. This necessary expansion of London’s sewer network is due for completion in 2024 and is happening across 24 construction sites in London. These span from Acton in West London to Beckton in the East, and many are located on the river edge in the centre of the city. The successful candidate will join a small, focussed, commercial in-house legal and company secretarial team.
The Paralegal/Solicitor will contribute to the success of Tideway and its group companies assisting the team in providing legal, regulatory and commercial advice and assistance to all areas of the business of this exciting, and complex landmark infrastructure project.
The succesful candidate will have a unique opportunity to work directly with people in a wide variety of areas across the business, from board level to the project sites, including supporting the Company Secretary to help ensure smooth running of the Tideway board of directors.
The role would suit an individual looking to gain hands-on legal experience and/or considering pursuing a career as a company secretary.
Responsibilities will include:
Being part of the legal team who give advice in relation to the project contracts, the financing package, planning and property issues, consents, compliance and procurement activities
